The Bay Area • October 20 – 22th, 2023

A 2-wheeled battle among friends, to prove absolutely nothing

FRIDAY

10/20

Stage 1:

Nicasio Valley, Lagunitas, Sir Francis Drake, Pt Reyes Peteluma Road, & we get to do it twice.

A relatively flat 40 mile opener that will be decided by early attacks on the initial climb, the constant threat of a breakaway, and the dreaded winds.

Full route here.

SATURDAY

10/21

Stage 2

Time Trial. Stinson to Olema. No stop signs, a punchy climb, rolling hills, and no one to draft off.

A stretch of road that is unmatched when riding with a strong group. This time, we’re going solo. With a sneaky set of climbs from mile 5 to 7, there is a very slim chance this will be fun…

The segment will end ~500m short of the stop sign to prevent anyone from sprinting through traffic. Start times will be determined by previous day’s results. ‘Hot Seat’ will be in action at Olema for current leader.

Full route here.

SUNDAY

10/22

Stage 3

The Queen Stage. Sprint down Canada, don’t get dropped up Hubbart climb, and suffer-fest up Page Mill

The only fitting finish is atop one of The Bay Area’s most iconic and grueling climbs. Roughly 1,200ft over 3.9 miles, why do we do this to ourselves? To make matters worse, there’s a 0% chance this route starts civil. The good news? We get to descend as friends and tell ourselves we’re never doing this again. Until next year.
